What’s great about the Squirrel Resistant Suet Palace?
The suet compartment metal plate. When it’s in place, this feeder will keep squirrels, Starlings and Grackles from eating all your suet.
What if the metal plate isn’t in place?
Remove it once your Suet Palace feeder is hanging high off the ground. (At least, hanging higher than Grackles and Starlings usually prefer to feed.) Now, large Woodpeckers like Flickers, Sapsuckers, Red-headed, Red-bellied and even Pileated Woodpeckers can hang from the bottom and eat your suet!
Holes on the sides are 1.5 inches X 1.5 inches and the bottom is .5 inches X .5 inches. Suet cake size is 4.5 x 3 x 4.
